Notice of Trustee's Final Report and Applications for Compensation

Background:

Effective September 6, 2016, this event has been modified to add an additional option for the Trustee to include the Certificate of Service with the Notice.

Effective April 01, 2016, this event has been modified. If the balance on hand for distribution is $5000.00 or less, the Clerk's office will notice. If the balance on hand is over $5000.00 the Trustee must serve the creditors and include a Certificate of Service.

Notices will be served on the debtor, trustee, and only those creditors who have filed claims.

You can obtain a Mailing Matrix of Claimants from CM/ECF.

Remember to relate the notice to the Trustee Final Report and any Applications for Compensation. Relating the Notice to the Application(s) will ensure that the matter(s) are scheduled on the Judge's calendar.

 

 

Step-by-Step Procedures:

  1. Select [Bankruptcy>Trustee/US Trustee]

  2.  Enter case number and click Next

  3. Select Notice of Trustee's Final Report and Applications for Compensation from event pick list and click Next

  4. Select Trustee from party pick list and click Next

  5. An alert will display. Click Next

    ALERT: Please file this event AFTER filing the Trustee Final Report and all Applications for Compensation and relate the Notice to the Final Report and all Applications.

  6. The following screen will appear, select the appropriate option:

     

  7. The Hearing Screen will display

    • Enter hearing date, time and select hearing location

    • Click Next

  8. Select the appropriate event(s) to which your event relates ClosedNotice of Motion and Application for Compensation and Final report and click Next

  9. The PDF Document selection screen will display:

  10. The Modify Text screen will display

    • Click the down arrow to select a prefix (if applicable)

    • Click Next

    • Verify the accuracy of the docket text. If not correct / if correct

    • Click Next to complete the filing process

      The Notice of Electronic Filing will display.  It is the verification that the filing has been sent electronically to the court.

      Copies of this notice and the document filed are emailed to all participants who receive electronic notification in the case.  You have a period of 15 days for a one timefree look at the document filed.

  11. Additional step only if the balance on hand exceeds $5000.00 and the Certificate of Service was not included.

    If balance on hand is more than $5000.00 and the Certificate of Service was not included, file the Certificate of Service and relate back to Notice of Trustee's Final Report and Applications for Compensation.

    • Access Bankruptcy or Adversary Trustee / US Trustee

    • Case Number defaults, click Next

    • Select Certificate of Service (Do Not Use for Service of Summons or Rule 3002.1 Events) from the event pick list and click Next

    • Select party and click Next

    • The PDF document selection screen will display. Browse, Scan and Attach and click Next

    • Check box to Refer to existing event(s) and click Next

    • Select Trustee and click Next

    • Place check box next to Notice of Trustee's Final Report and Applications for Compensation and click Next

    • If applicable, click down arrow to select a prefix. If not, click Next

    • Final Text Screen will display. Verify the accuracy of the docket text. If not correct / if correct

    • Click Next to submit the filing

    The Notice of Electronic Filing will display.  It is the verification that the filing has been sent electronically to the court.
