How to File a Transcript

Background:

Attention: This procedure applies only to Court Reporters

 

Pdf File Size Limit

Documents created electronically must not exceed 7 megabytes in size.  Documents created by scanning must not exceed 50 pages.  A document which exceeds these limits must be broken into multiple pdf files.  The pdf file that contains page one of the transcript should be uploaded first and the additional pdf files should be uploaded as attachments.

 

Step-by-Step Procedures:

  1. Select [Bankruptcy or Adversary]

  2. Select Transcript

  3. Enter Case Number

  4. Click Next

    The list of available events will display.

  1. Select Transcript from event pick list

    Transcript now appears under selected events

  1. Click Next

  1. The PDF Document selection screen will display.

    Click Browse button and navigate to locate the appropriate document/file

  2. View file to verify the correct file is being selected

  3. Click Open button (the filename now appears in the browse window).

  1. Click Next

The following warning message will appear;

Warning:  Do Not Use This Event For Filing a Redacted Transcript

Note:  If you are filing a Redacted Transcript STOP!  Do not continue.  Navigate to the list of events and select the Redacted Transcript event.  

  1. Click Next to continue filing transcript

The following question will appear;

Is this an Excerpt of Proceeding?

  1. Click down arrow and select No

  2. Click Next

  3. Enter hearing date in text box (i.e. 08/18/08)

    The due dates will automatically calculate for the following fields based on the file date of the transcript;

    • Notice of Intent to Request Redaction

    • Reaction Request

    • Redacted Transcript Submission

    • End of Transcript access restriction period

  1. Click Next

The next page displays all docket entries for hearings, motions, notices and order.  At this point, you must select the appropriate entry to which the transcript relates to.

Note:  More than one entry can be selected.

  1. Click the radio box next to the related entry

  2. Click Next

The following statement will display;

Please select which Court Reporter should be contacted for more information

  1. Click down arrow and select appropriate Court Reporter

  2. Click Next

The following statement will display;

The Court will send a notice to Pro Se participants.  Are ALL participants represented by counsel?

  1. Click down arrow and select yes or no from the pick list

  2. Click Next

The Modify Text screen will display.  

Note:  If you are filing an Amended Transcript, click the down arrow and select Amended from the pick list.

  1. Click Next

The Final Text screen will display.  This is your final opportunity to modify the entry before submitting the filing.

  1. Verify the accuracy of the docket text.  If not correct/if correct

  2. Click Next to complete filing process

 

The Notice of Electronic Filing will display.  It is the verification that the filing has been sent electronically to the court.

Copies of this notice are emailed to all participants who receive electronic notification in the case.
