Background:
Per Local Rule 2090-5, filing a document electronically constitutes entering an appearance for the party on whose behalf the document is filed, and no further notice of appearance is required
The association screen will ONLY display when an attorney and a party are being associated for the first time. As of December 8, 2012, if the association screen displays, it means an attorney will be automatically associated to that party and will receive Notices of Electronic Filing for that party.

Filers manually clicked the association box if an attorney represented the party
Noticing

A Checked box will ensure the attorney is sent Notices of Electronic Filing regarding the case
